The Music Curriculum is comprised of three main areas. These three areas are constructing knowledge in music concepts as well as in various genres, Developing basic performing skills through playing recorders (for P3 to P6 students) and cultivating students’generic skills by participating in diversified music activities beyond the formal classroom.
To widen students’music experiences, students with talents and potentials are encouraged to take part in both external and internal competitions such as Hong Kong Schools Music Festival.
To assess students’performance in different aspects of music, diversified modes of assessment are adopted. The details are as follows:
