In order to cater for learner differences, and enhance the effectiveness of the enrichment programmes. Our school would differentiate the classes, according to the students’ language proficiency. The experts from EDB, they provided the professional advices to our school, in formulating the teaching plan and developing the school-based curriculum. This has helped to develop our direction in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language. Our school also participate the Chinese Enrichment Written Program, organized by The University of Hong Kong. We have conducted the regular meeting with their concerned professional specialists, to formulate the teaching materials, keeping track of the teaching progress and reviewing all the individual results.
To promote school based language proficiency,our students learn Chinese through activties such as drama (role plays) and morning reading sessions.These activities enhance students' confidence and interest in speading Chinese.
Our school offers a multiple-languages environment, and we have the e-learning platform in place, where we have uploaded the dictation content in our web-site. The students could review the pronunciation and the wordings, via the e-learning platform. We also provide a platform for teachers and students to collaboration between different subjects and functional groups such as debating and language groups . Our school aims to motivate and stimulate the student's learning interestand in marking language teaching a joyful ecperience.
